Launch
- 4 October 2020 — first live order placed on BitMEX.
- December 2020 — public free testing began and the first user feedback was collected.
The original trading system was launched from a conventional laptop before being migrated to dedicated infrastructure.
2021
Public Operations and Growth
- February 2021 — public access launched through a Telegram-based account connection system.
- 19 May 2021 — the trading system remained operational and reported profitable performance during the major cryptocurrency market sell-off.
- Summer 2021 — execution, risk management, market simulation, optimisation, and forecasting systems were expanded.
- End of 2021 — the live trading system reported an annual return of approximately 420%, compared with approximately 63% for Bitcoin during the same calendar year.

2022
Access Policy and Technical Incident
- 26 March 2022 — following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Trade-BM.ai instructed citizens of the Russian Federation to disconnect their accounts and introduced a hard stop for Russian-connected accounts.
- 10 May 2022 — a technical failure in stop handling caused positions not to exit as intended, taking the drawdown beyond its previous historical range.
- The immediate technical issue was corrected and additional exchange-response scenarios were incorporated into the execution system.
- A continuous 24/7 operational duty rotation was introduced to provide manual supervision and incident response.
2023
Final Drawdown and Closure
- 29 November 2023 — Trade-BM.ai announced that the strategy drawdown had moved materially beyond its previous historical maximum.
- Users were explicitly offered the choice to discontinue trading.
- Leverage was reduced and the team announced that trading would subsequently be suspended for an indefinite period.
- 11 December 2023 — live operations ceased.
